Ben Franklin comes to Los Angeles

Color Incorporated wins “Benny” award in national printing competition.

Chicago, IL, September 10, 2013: Color Incorporated, a printing and pre-press company located in Glendale, California, brings a coveted “Benny” award back to Los Angeles, proving that Chicago and New York are not the only cities that produce excellence in print. While many believe Los Angeles no longer home of craftsmanship in printing, Color Inc. of Glendale California was honored with a Benny for Best of Category at the recent Print Excellence awards ceremony in Chicago.
The winning project “Spartacus, War of the Damned”, is a multi-part “media kit” designed by Starz Entertainment. The Benny, named after Benjamin Franklin who was Americas most famous printer, is an award given to those companies that produce the best printing on a national scale. This yearly international competition is held by the Printing Industries of America with entries judged by known print experts from all around the country.
Jim Hamm, company president states, “This honor is meaningful for us because we are able to show that there are still printing establishments in Los Angeles that believe in craftsmanship and the value it brings to brand owners”. Hamm goes on, “Print is a tactile experience, unique from digital advertising. We believe in this power and the important role it can play as a communication tool.”
